Team Limerick Clean-Up’s ‘Decorate a BIG TLC Christmas Tree’ competition is back and better than ever! With some great prizes up for grabs, the competition is open to all primary schools in Limerick. Register below!
This year is even more exciting as ALL entries from primary schools across Limerick City and County will be displayed for the public in the Crescent Shopping Centre for the month of December.
We are inviting primary school pupils to get crafty and showcase their creative and imaginative skills by decorating a large Christmas tree with recycled and recyclable materials. Think paper, cardboard, plastic – anything you’d pop into the green recycling bin that can be turned into a festive masterpiece!
We understand that it is very early in the year to be thinking about Christmas, but it is a great opportunity for TLC to collaborate with the Crescent Shopping Centre to showcase the hard work of the Limerick primary schools. We hope the children will enjoy visiting the exhibition while out Christmas shopping with their families and friends during the busy, festive season. We also want to give staff plenty of notice to coordinate this fun, festive class project. Tis the season to be early after all!
Once the trees have all been decorated, we’ll collect them and put them on display at the Crescent Shopping Centre. The competition is designed to raise awareness of Team Limerick Clean-Up and to remind students of the importance of caring for the environment. It also gives them a chance to explore their creativity while learning the value of teamwork and collaboration.
Prizes
Prizes are vouchers for school equipment (€750 for 1st prize, €550 for 2nd prize and €350 for 3rd prize in each category).
The Crescent Shopping Centre is hosting its Christmas launch on the 28th of November and we would love to have your school’s Christmas trees collected and on display for that date – ready to be admired by the public!
