ABOUT TEAM LIMERICK CLEAN-UP

Connect. Collect. Protect

Team Limerick Clean-Up (TLC) is a massive county-wide initiative which encourages people to get involved in a volunteer one-day clean-up every Good Friday.

We welcome volunteers, organisations, businesses, and schools from across Limerick to get involved and do their bit to keep Limerick clean and tidy.

Join us in 2025 to celebrate 10 Years of Team Limerick Clean-Up! Registration opens in January!

‘TLC is a celebration of what happens when we connect and of the magic we make when we share a goal’.

Our Mission

The foundation of all that we do is our mission: to foster and build relationships with the community, instill a sense of pride in the people of Limerick and protect the environment.

Our Vision

We are committed to making Limerick a cleaner and better place to live, work, play and visit.

Our Story

At Team Limerick Clean-Up, we are celebrating Limerick!

With a strong local heritage and over ten impactful years, Team Limerick Clean-Up (TLC) has grown to become one of the most loved and valued local events in Limerick City and County. TLC unites over 20,000 volunteers every year from communities, schools, organisations, and businesses around the county to collect litter and keep Limerick clean.

All clean-ups finish up with a cup of tea, coffee, and a chat to celebrate the hard work done by families, friends, neighbours, colleagues, and communities. This is an opportunity for communities to come together and celebrate each other and county Limerick.

The TLC mission is to foster and build relationships with the community, protect the environment, and instil a sense of pride in the people of Limerick.

TLC is a true celebration of all that makes Limerick great.

Join us on Good Friday, 18th of April 2025 as we celebrate ten years of making Limerick a cleaner, better place to live!

The Power of Together

We know that if we work together we can do more. United in strength and numbers we can shape the world we all want to live in, the one we deserve.

Civic Pride

TLC is driven by a love for where we live and for our communities. It’s about collective community spirit, for Limerick and for the world we want our children to inherit. All participants share a common bond: they want to feel proud of their piece of Limerick and feel the responsibility of doing their bit to create it.

Fun

TLC is about family, friends, neighbours and community. It’s about organisations that mean business and schools that are teaching a better way. And just as important – it’s about craic and a great time for all.

The Best We Can Be

We know that if we work together we can do more. United in strength and numbers we can shape the world we all want to live in, the one we deserve.

Our Partners

Our success over the years and strong local involvement means we have earned the support of many valuable partners, including Mr Binman, Limerick Leader, Limerick Post, Live 95, I Love Limerick, Elive and Limerick City & County Council.

Our Supporters

TLC is about everyone coming together for better and we know the success of the initiative would not be possible without good citizens in our community. Our supporters are the families that make it happen – expressing pride in their home and showing their children the meaning of community. Our supporters are sports clubs who take part – proving that they’re heroes off the pitch as well as on. And our supporters are local businesses who want to give back to their communities in a practical, purposeful way.
